The world is obsessed with telling women who to be and how to be. I’m all for guarding our kids from behaviors they are too young to see, but shouldn’t eveyone be involved in protecting children? A mom’s short skirt shouldn’t be more news worthy than a father’s infidelity. Come on now. 

Moms are not perfect Patties. We make mistakes and we beat ourselves up for those mistakes. 

We also have career goals and we don’t need to apologize for those either. We are entitled to a life beyond our kids. 

​In my eyes we owe it to our kids to be more than just their moms. My kids will know I blazed a trail for them to be whatever they want or don’t want to be.

The working mom path isn’t for everyone and we have to salute all active mommies. Being a parent is demanding no matter if you decide to stay at home or work. There is plenty of work to do. Our kids make sure of that 😐 

We all must pursue the best path for us and our babies.
