Finding This Thing Called TIME

Good Morning Ms. Greatness,

Thanks for sticking around for an October post. I’m writing you while on the bus headed to work on my hand me down Android Galaxy. (where there is a will there is a way).

Excuse all typo’s. On to business, much like rapper Future I’ve been looking for something. Time is running, hiding and I can’t seem to find it. Not even with a flashlight. (laugh, that was funny)

Have you ever got up in the morning with a list of things to do only to be side tracked by the unexpected. Family needs a ride somewhere, more projects added to your plate at work, kid gets sick, tire is on a flat. Yep, life happens.

Don’t be discouraged by times constant need to run from you when you need it most. As I write this post I’ve found a bit of time to do what I love. Inspire and connect!

The old saying goes. “We make time for things that are important to us.”

The Age Old Debate: Light Skin/ Dark Skin (Will we ever move past this)

Just stumbled on the age old light skin/ dark skin debate. When I was growing up I noticed boys that always flocked to the light girl and the girls did the same (Many still do) But that doesnt make me feel any less beautiful. The man God had for me loves my brown skin, but I first had to love myself.

My mother always told me I was beautiful and she told me why she believed I was beautiful. I’m a pretty carefree person any way but I do believe this helped me build a resistence to negativity. If my mom whom I believed was gorgeous said I was beautiful than there is no one in the world that can tell me different.

It’s important to assure our children of their talents, beauty, charisma, gifts or whatever. They need to know from us 1st (parents)
