Message from Organizers
Dear Friends,
The Women of the Windy City are looking for women to join them and take a stand in bringing awareness against domestic violence on October 26. Domestic Violence has claim the lives of many women and will continue to claim women lives until we come together to empower women to fight back.
I’m honored to have Mayor Sherman C. Jones to support this cause to prevent Domestic Violence from taking the lives of young women in his community and surrounding community. I’m reaching out to all Directors of Youth programs for girls. The time has come for us to come together from all communities and become a powerful force.
I’m asking for us to network together by supporting each others youth programs to continue in making a difference in our communities. It’s my prayer and vision to see African American women put aside their differences and take their rightful stand in leadership. We are the present role models for the future young women of tomorrow. We are the women that young women see and hear for once let them see us unite and become as one.
This event will not be successful without your support in being present at the “Black Stilettos” Fashion Show. Please join me as I tell my story of silence against Domestic Violence alone with my friends guest models from Miss Black Illinois.
