5 Genius Fashion Ideas for Pregnant Women

Having a pregnant body is not only different from your normal figure, it is also changing constantly. For nine months, you get bigger everyday.

Dressing a pregnant body, therefore, can be challenging. Thanks to some genius fashion ideas, however, pregnant women have better choices than wearing sweats everyday. Here are a few:

1. Yoga Pants

Yoga pants are not only comfortable, they also make you look trim, slim and athletic. Plus, they match just about anything.

2. Tummy Sleeves

For those of you who don’t want to spend much money buying maternity pants, tummy sleeves really save the day. These stretchy bands wrap around your growing belly comfortably over unbuttoned pants to let you keep wearing old pants with a smooth middle.

3. Support Belts

Your lower back hurts as your belly gets bigger. These belts wrap tightly around your waist and help hold up your belly, giving your back the support you need.

4. Secret Fit Shaper

Pregnant women want a sleek silhouette too. This under garment work like body shapers, but also allows enough room for the belly. They are perfect for any dress up event.

5. Maternity Bridesmaid Dresses

Being a part of a bridal party and pregnant can be a bad match. How can you fit into the same dresses as other girls?

Maternity bridesmaid dresses, however, lets you match the rest of the party without feeling completely left out. Weddingtonway.com is one of the bridal fashion stores that provide maternity bridesmaid dresses in a variety of style and colors. Having options makes a mama-to-be / bridesmaid feel so much better.

African American’s lead population in TV viewership: 5 Things to do besides watch TV

In case you haven’t picked this up, I’m black. I’m a married black woman raising a 3 year old and on occasions a 9 year old girl. Television has taken over family time, play time, learning time and quality time. Studies try to glorify the fact that African Americans watch more television than other races but in my opinion it shows what we aren’t doing. To say grades are low in our communities but spending on materialistic things is high is a testament that we’re spending too much damn time doing the wrong things.

None of us are perfect but saying we aren’t succeeding because of the government is a lame excuse for why your child can’t read. It’s not up to the government or teachers to teach our kids respect, morals, values and instill goals. Come on!!! Everything isn’t the fault of someone else.

“African-Americans have the highest rate of total TV usage, according to a 2011 Nielsen report — translating to an average of seven hours, 12 minutes each day, two hours above the U.S. average. And black spending power is estimated to reach $1.1 trillion, according to the State of the African-American Consumer Report. While BET, also owned by Viacom, is still dominant among black viewers, that network abandoned celebrity-focused reality programming after it proved polarizing, instead pursuing scripted series.”

5 Things to do Besides Watch TV

  1. Read a book or Catch up on current events: You can read an appropriate book out loud to your child.
  2. Play a board game: Play the matching game with your toddler
  3. Go Outside: Splash pads and water parks are popping up everywhere.
  4. Just let your child play with the tv off. The Tv doesn’t make good company anyway
  5. Arts and Crafts: Kids love glue, glitter and scissors.
Hope this helps you a bit. The TV gives me a headache so I have a natural dislike for glaring flat screens.
