This is a deep question, right?
We all know dynamic women who have skills to conquer the world, but they chose to stay home and nurture the development of their children. What happens after the children are old enough for school? Is this the time to focus on mommy’s goals.
If you’re a mother you know it’s never time to focus on mommy. Mom’s Individualism is somehow lost in dirty diapers, play dates and pee wee basketball games.
It’s been a popular practice for years for mothers to put off their well planed goals to raise their family. The world as I view it ,is shaped by mothers.
When mothers raise successful, productive and respectful children the neighborhoods and essentially the world is a better place. The role of a mother involves love, discipline, compassion, sincerity, empathy and world of other emotions & skills.
There is no doubt that mothers are important to not only households but the WORLD.
The trend of postponing goals isn’t limited by race, many cultures of women view family as first priority. I applaud women for sacrificing their lives in the name of family. Mother’s day should most definitely be a week long celebration.
A mother’s sacrifice carries a lot of weight. Sacrifice is defined as an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. That’s deep!
Giving up something valued like dreams of becoming CEO of a fortune 500 company, owning her own bakery, opening her own salon, competing in the Olympics, starting her own clothing line.
Is it possible for a woman to be a mom and actively pursue her dreams? YES!!
Will the journey be easy? NO! Mothers like Michelle Obama have successfully balanced motherhood, community involvement and career for years.
Candice Parker has gotten married and had a child without missing a beat in the WNBA. J.K Rowling is single mother and Author of the acclaimed Harry Potter series that rose to power with her daughter.
Life doesn’t stop because you have kids. Your dreams should not dissolve because a man comes in your life or little people.
Stay focused on what you want because at the end of your life you want to know you took advantage of life, life didn’t take advantage of you.
On top of all that, It’s important for children to see that their mother is more than a mother; she has the power to rule the world. Your kids need to see the GREATNESS you posses.
Women are dope, no matter what they decide to do. I’m just one of those crazy chicks that believe we can do it all – with the right support and vision.
Yes, Mommy Can Have a Life Too!
